The "5fingers" viewing platform is currently the highlight of the world heritage hiking region Dachstein-Krippenstein. The bold construction of a five-pronged platform (the five fingers) juts out over a 400 metre drop, allowing breathtaking panoramic views of the Hallstatt/Dachstein world heritage region. The hand shape with its five fingers is visible to the naked eye from far and wide. Each of the five ‘fingers’ can be walked on and each has a different focus. In one, there is a giant picture frame capturing the view towards Hallstatt, for example. An exciting adventure path takes the visitor to the viewing platform passing activity stations on the way. Within a very short period of time, the viewing platform has become a true visitor magnet.
