Two steel arms above the abyss with a view


An extreme platform is the new symbol of the Garmisch Classic world of adventure: two dynamic curved bridges intersect at a dizzy height to form an "X", opening up new directions of view towards the Zugspitze and over Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Munich. The steel arms of the "AlpspiX" extend around 16 m above the chasm, 1000 m deep. One bridge goes upwards at a slight incline of 4 %, and the other points towards the Hölle valley. The apparently missing railings at the end of each bridge give the visitor the unique feeling of walking freely into the panorama. As the general planner, pronatour was commissioned by the Bayerischer Zugspitzbahn railway company to stage the "AlpspiX" together with two adventure trails.
