Begin A New Chapter


Each of the interactive books is dedicated to an interesting aspect of the little bay on the Danube.  Why are juvenile fish so comfortable here?  Who is nesting in the reeds and who is at home in the riverbed? When and why was the Donauinsel (Island in the Danube) and the little bay created?

With each new chapter, children learn more about the shallow water ecosystem.  They measure themselves, or at least their arm span, against the wingspan of waterfowl and answer tricky questions about the island to solve the alluvial forest puzzle.

pronatour have also developed a range of educational follow up materials designed to bring beaver and friends into the classroom, after the trip.
